A league source tells ProFootballTalk that Nnamdi Asomugha’s potential destinations include Texans, 49ers, Broncos, and Cardinals.

The cornerback was released by the Eagles Tuesday, two years after signing a five-year, $60 million deal as the NFL’s most sought-after free agent.

Nomugha, a three-time Pro Bowler with the Raiders (2008-2010), was scheduled to make $15 million this season, including $4 million guaranteed.

I think there are 31 destinations, assuming he leaves Philly.  Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Does his cameo on Kroll Show mean nothing?

key for this guy (as all free agents) is scheme matters as much as money. If you can get both, good luck. He lost money now in this next negotiation he played wrong scheme at Philly so that was his mistake where Philly tried to make him do more, bad idea. Now everyone thinks he is a bust. He will over achieve at his next destination, if he picks right scheme, where the deal is man coverage-shut down corner- one on one. Philly played him zone- bad management!! and so went the jobs of approx 2 coordinators and head coach. I am not blaming Asomugah for poor management decisions quite yet. By the way he stills gets 4 m this year from Philly as his contract had no off set. So he is not as dumb as most people think...

As a Seahawks fan, I just hope it isn't SF (or AZ for that matter).

Harrin42 What are you talking about? As a Seahawks fan, I want him to go to SF so their secondary sucks as hard as Philly's did while he was there. Asomugha is done.

I thought the consensus was that the Eagles just used him wrong?  Instead of moving him all over to cover the #1 just leave him on one side of the field right?  Which would make him not worth anywhere near what they signed him for.  I wonder what kind of money he's expecting.

I hope the Texans get Asomugha. They lost Glover Quin Jr so they have a hole in the secondary. Even though he's not very good, he still has potential as a playmaker.

S712399 add him to jonathon joseph and thats secondary will be sick

Denver signed Dominick Roger-Cromartie to a one year deal, so they not in on Nmandi. Denver hasn't spent big money... They cut DJ Williams which saved them $6/M yr (which happens to be Welkers salary). They are either cutting or restructuring Elvis' contract. They are likely to cut Chris Kuper (great guard with injury concerns) and Joe Mays. Vasquez is the only big $$$ deal they've signed and that was a relatively cap friendly deal. Elway is really focused in how he is approaching FA.

Where are the Broncos getting all of this money?

    A. He sucks. B. Who the hell can pronounce his name. C. NO-BAH-DEE goes to an NFL game to watch a DB.

Didn't the Texans pass on him 2 years ago because he had skinny arms?

Mike26 Because of skinny arms, an overrated game, lots of games where his team lost, and a salary at least three times what it should be.  One time he resigned in Oakland for 3 yrs, $45 Million.  What DB is worth that?  No DB.  (Especially one who plays for a team that loses so much).

And I also have to agree with Ray Sexauer above.  How the heck do you  pronounce his name, and more importantly, why in the world is he paid so much?
