The New York Jets have received what one NFL source calls a “good” trade proposal for star cornerback Darrelle Revis, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported Monday.

From Florio’s report:

A league source tells PFT that the Jets have an offer on the table for Revis.  Per the source, the offer is a “good” one, both as to the compensation given to the team and the financial package that would be extended to Revis.

Revis could be the next big name to be traded after a flurry of significant moves Monday that sent wide receiver Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks and Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers have been one of the teams expressing interest in a trade for Revis, who said last week that it would be “awesome” to play in San Francisco. The Daily News reported last week that the Jets have two or three “legitimate buyers” serious about obtaining Revis, who has one year left on his contract.

Florio reported Monday that the Jets have not shared with Revis what kind of new contract would be offered to him under the “good” trade proposal on the table. Any team trading for Revis while giving up a high draft pick would presumably want the opportunity to sign the star corner to a long-term deal that extends beyond next season.

Wonder if that's true, or are the Jets are just floating a rumor to generate/increase interest and sweeten potential offers.
