Former New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel has agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter.
Jason La Canfora reports the deal could be worth more than $3 million annually and that the New York Jets were very interested in the former Missouri quarterback.
It’s likely that new Chiefs coach Andy Reid wants Daniel to back up the recently acquired Alex Smith.
