The Redskins had signed Hall to a six-year deal with $55 million in 2009 and will be saving $8 million in cap space by releasing the veteran. Hall pulled down four interceptions and recorded 68 tackles in 2012 for the Redskins while playing in all 16 games.
Talked to Hall, he said Shanahan called him to inform him. "He said he felt bad because I'd done everything they asked," He said.—

Hall said Shanahan said it was because of cap situation, said team had hoped to work something out, but couldn't.—

Hall would complete the Lions. Secondary is there weakness. Corners are always outsized. With all other free agents added to team. I would say the Lions are ready to Roar. This has got to be one of the best lineups for the Lions in decades.
