In an interview with USA Today’s Robert Klemko, free-agent wide receiver Greg Jennings said that the quality of the team’s quarterback will be a major factor in where he decides to play next season.

“Coaching means a lot, the dynamic of the team,” Jennings told Klemko. “To me, the quarterback means a lot, if they have one or not, and I have to make sure my family is comfortable.”

Jennings’ statement seems like the norm for free-agent wide receivers, but Klemko points out that it likely rules out the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles — all of which have shaky situations at quarterback.

SI.com’s Peter King ranks Jennings the No. 9 available free agent on the market, and second among wide receivers to Pittsburgh’s Mike Wallace.

Jennings played in only eight games last season while battling a groin injury. He caught 36 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns. For Jennings, a return to the play with Packers and superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still possible — general manager Ted Thompson said last month that he would like to keep Jennings in a Packer uniform. But Jennings’ reported contract demands could push him out of the Packers’ range.

Packer fans will never forget Jennings but there was no reason for Green Bay to keep him at the price he's demanding.  He missed significant parts of the last two seasons so his durability is beginning to come into question.  He can catch almost anything thrown his way and his YAC and ability to juke tacklers used to be his strong suit.  The Packers are extremely deep at WR though and Nelson and Jones could start on any other team in the league as could Cobb.
