Report: Aaron Brooks will sign with Houston
After being parting ways with the Sacramento Kings, Aaron Brooks will move on to the Houston Rockets. Brooks agreed to a Sacramento buyout on Friday, and now reports indicate that once Brooks clears the waivers he will join the Rockets.
Brooks was released before midnight of the March 1st deadline, meaning he is eligible to play for another team in the postseason. Three years ago, Brooks had his best NBA season with the Rockets, averaging 19 points and five assists per game.
The guard signed a two-year $6.6 million contract with the Kings over the summer, but averaged only eight points in 21 minutes this season. Once the waivers clear, Brooks will be headed back to the Rockets where he will hopefully be more successful.
