J’Marcus Webb arrested on drug charges, Bears investigating

Chicago Bears offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb was arrested Sunday evening and is facing drug charges in Illinois, according to local news station KFVS in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Webb, 24, was arrested by the Pulaski County Sheriff and is being charged with “possession of a controlled substance, cannabis and paraphernalia,” according to the report. He paid $500 of a $5,000 bond on Monday and was released. His court date is set for March.

According to a tweet Wednesday afternoon from Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago, the Bears are “continuing to look into the facts surrounding the situation.”

Webb is entering his fourth season with Chicago, having started all 16 games in each of his last two years with the team.

More proof that the most dangerous thing about grass is getting caught with it. Light up at home, fools!

This came from the local news machine in Cape Girardeau, MO?  That's...that's seriously the best you could do?  For shame!

There's a joke somewhere in here about the drugs and him not being able to block.  However, I can't, for the life of me, think it up.  Do work, internet!
