Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush will probably start his eighth NFL season with a new team. According to a report from Ian Rappoport at NFL.com, representatives from the Dolphins met with Bush’s agents to discuss a new contract, and neither side came away from the meeting with a feeling that a deal would get done.

Bush has enjoyed the best seasons of his career in Miami, rushing for 986 total yards with six touchdowns in 2012-2013. However, the sticking point appears to be his contract demands, with Bush coming off a deal that paid $4.5 million per season.

Bush scored more TDs than anyone else on the Dolphins. The issue is that Lamar Miller has lots of potential and learned to block for the blitz as the season progressed. Miller has a lot of upside. They want Bush back for a reasonable price.  Bush is someone who isn't going to get those bruising yards when teams know you are going to run the ball. Plus, Bush takes a lot of loses dancing in the back field, which is something Miller doesn't do. Miller hits the hole much faster. However, Bush can make people miss in the open field. In any case, Miami wants him back, but can afford to move on without him if it means another team is willing to overpay.

He wants more than ever to be the go to guy. But after flopping in both NO and now Miami, he should just accept the fact that he is at best a role player....nothing more.

he was an overpaid bust with the dolphins---some other team will pay reggie some obscene money to be a role player
