Packers considering Greg Jennings for franchise tag
Unexpectedly, the Green Bay Packers are still considering placing the franchise tag on wide receiver Greg Jennings. This, according to a tweet from NFL.com’s Ian Rappoport:
Interesting to hear the #Packers are still considering franchising Greg Jennings. Thought that ship had sailed. Apparently not.—

Jennings, who will turn 30 at the start of the 2013-2014 NFL season, will be owed just over $10 million by the Packers should they go through with giving him the franchise tag. Jennings had 36 receptions for an average of 10.2 yards in an injury-shortened 2012 season and has been a key cog in the Packers’ recent success. However, the team also has three young receivers waiting in the wings in James Jones, Randall Cobb, and Jordy Nelson.
no no, dont do that
