Report: Falcons likely to release RB Michael Turner
The Falcons are likely to release veteran running back Michael Turner, according to ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter.
A 2008 escalator clause and 2010-11 performance incentives increase Turner’s 2013 base salary from $5.5 million to $6.9 million. The team’s net salary cap gain would be $4.4 million if he’s released.
Turner’s production fell off in 2012 when he averaged a career-low 3.6 yards per carry while rushing for 800 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns.

We do appreciate everything that Michael did for us but it is time to move on and find a young RB that can turn on a dime and leave 5 cents change.
