Williams, drafted 11th overall in 2009 by the Nets, had also had NBA stints with the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings before moving to China to play for Guangdong Southern Tigers. Williams joined up with the Detroit Pistons for their preseason training camp in 2012, but was released by the team before signing in China.
Williams, 25, averaged 7.1 points, 2.2 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 30 games last season, split between the Rockets and Kings.
