Former Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree, a potential first-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft was arrested for DUI, reports Pro Football Talk.

Ogletree accounted for 98 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for a loss last season and also recorded three sacks, five pass breakups and one interception.

Ogletree had 8.5 tackles for loss, an interception, fumble recovery and returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown in Georgia’s SEC Championship Game loss to Alabama.

“Last weekend, my client Alec Ogletree was pulled over for speeding and a lane violation in Arizona,” agent Pat Dye, Jr. tells PFT.  “After the officers smelled alcohol, they conducted tests and also cited him for DUI.  Although Alec regrets this incident terribly, he is thankful that there was no accident and that no one was hurt.  Because this matter is still pending, we cannot comment further publicly at this time.”

Ogletree, a second-team All-SEC selection, was suspended four games during the 2012 season after a positive drug test. Ogletree was also suspended for the first game of the 2010 season following an arrest for misdemeanor theft.

Well, there goes his draft stock. He'll be lucky to get a camp invite at this point.

He was a first-round draft pick. I was reading some of his down-sides. One of them was off the field character issues. A DUI a month or two before you're in position to be a milionaire? C'mon man. Manti Teo just surpassed this guy on all the draft boards. There is a big difference between being gulliable and a severe lack of discipline. No team is going to invest a first round pick on such a high risk commodity.

Roger Goodell has decided to fine the team that drafts him $326,975 and make him sit out the third quarter of the 4th, 8th and 15th game of the season. He then gave himself a raise that will net him more than the $31 million a year he is making right now.

Huge red flag. It's one thing to get in trouble as an immature freshman. It's another to have 2 drug/alcohol related incidents in less than a year. A giant judgement/maturity stain especially because every potential draftee at this point knows to be on their BEST BEHAVIOR since in 2.5 months they will be representing a corporation.

Besides everyone knows that if you're gonna drive drunk, you gotta drive slow...
