Ahmad Bradshaw ‘excited’ to consider playing for Jets
Running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who was cut by the Giants last week, says he was excited by the possibility of playing for the Jets, according to the New York Daily News:
“The New York Jets are a team that I’m excited to hear about, just to stay home, not make a big move from New York,” Bradshaw said Tuesday morning on the NFL Network’s NFL AM show. “It’s just right across the street from where I am now.”
Bradshaw, 26, was drafted by the Giants in the 7th round (250th overall) of the 2007 draft and has played with the team for the entirety of his six-year career. However, he has been prone to injuries and recently underwent surgery in his right foot. Bradshaw rushed for 1,014 yards in 14 games last season.
There is a chance that Bradshaw would return to the Giants, but he says he is open to any possibility:
“You know what? In playing with the Giants, they had mentioned that there was a chance for me to come back, and I’m always up for that,” Bradshaw said. “But whatever. Whoever needs me, whoever can use me, whoever I feel that I can get a better chance of playing and helping which team.”
