Report: Pau Gasol to miss at least six weeks with partial plantar fascia tear
Lakers forward Pau Gasol has a partial tear of his plantar fascia and is expected to be out at least six weeks, a league source told CBSSports.com’s Ken Berger.
Berger also reports Gasol could opt for surgery and miss 10-12 weeks. His dissatisfaction with limited minutes and role in new coach Mike D’Antoni’s offense could factor into Gasol’s decision.
Gasol said yesterday that he would wait until the end of the Lakers’ season to request a trade.
Gasol “felt a pop in his foot” during the Lakers’ win over the Nets, Tuesday night.

One option for Gasol is rehab, with estimated timetable of 6-8 weeks. Surgery would mean 10-12 weeks, with better chance of full recovery.—
