Right-hander Kevin Millwood will retire from baseball after a 16-year career in the majors, according to a report from the Shelby Star, Millwood’s hometown paper.

Millwood went 169-152 in his career, playing for the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Ravens , Colorado Rockies, and Seattle Mariners. He pitched two no-hitters in his career – one on his own with the Phillies in 2003, and one as part of a handful of Mariners pitchers this past year. He ends his career with a 4.11 ERA, and one appearance in the All-Star game in 1999.

I don't remember his baseball career, except for the no hitters.  But I distinctly remember his play with the Baltimore Ravens.  He was a stud LB, DE pass rusher who led the league in sacks and QB pressures in 2005.  Unfortunately he did not get a ring as he was playing baseball when the Ravens won their first SB.

Uh, what?  No?  That didn't happen.  I must have the wrong guy.  Sorry!

His time with the Ravens was really, really, really, really, really, really unnoticed.  Really unnoticed.

No wonder he's beat up if he played for the Ravens.

Apparently he's going to start a new career. He'll be working in a wood mill, milling wood.

GeoffreyHolland But how much wood would a Millwood mill if a Millwood would mill wood?

Capo  GeoffreyHolland He'd mill as much would as he could until he blew out his shoulder.
