Chicago Bulls forward Joakim Noah did not play last night’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets because of plantar fasciitis in his right foot and is unsure of when he will return to the lineup.

Noah, who was selected to his first All-Star game, said the pain started a week and a half ago and that he has dealt with this kind of injury before. The Bulls play at Indiana on Monday night.

“My foot is swelling (and) is bothering me,” Noah said to ESPN.com. “Plantar fasciitis is kind of coming back, so I have issues with my foot. It’s frustrating, but I’m hoping that with a little bit of rest I’ll be all right. It’s just been getting worse and worse and I just knew that I needed some rest. It’s frustrating because I want to be out there but I wasn’t able to go today.”

Noah, in his fifth NBA season, is averaging 12.1 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.14 blocks per game for the Bulls.
