Matt Barnes suspended one game for shoving Greg Stiemsma

Los Angeles Clippers small forward Matt Barnes has been suspended for one game without pay for an altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves center Greg Stiemsma, the NBA announced Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred midway through the second quarter of Thursday’s Clippers-Timberwolves game. Playing defense, Barnes ran into a screen set by Stiemsma at the top of the three point line. Stiemsma added a little shove to the face of Barnes, who responded in kind. the NBA has video of the incident here.

The Clippers would go on to win the game 96-90.
