Travis Hafner reportedly agrees to terms with Yankees
The Yankees have agreed to a deal with Travis Hafner, according to reports.
Chad Jennings of the New York Journal News reported the deal was pending on final contract language and believed to be close to the one-year, $1.1 million contract given Raul Ibanez last winter. Ibanez signed with the Mariners this offseason.
Ken Davidoff of the New York Post tweeted the contract would include approximately $2 million guaranteed salary.
Hafner will be used as a platoon designated hitter against right-handed pitchers. He hit .228 with 12 home runs and 34 RBI in just 66 games, mostly as the DH for the Indians in 2012.

I don't get this deal..the Yankees had 3 left handed batters in their outfield so they passed on Ibanez, someone who can play a position as he showed, becuase they didn't want another left handed hitter...Now they pay Travis Hefner, who does not play any positions, to be a left-handed DH...
1.1 m to be on the yanks DL, not bad
