Miami’s Chris Bosh says he is a lock to be a Hall of Famer

He is an eight-time NBA All-Star and has an NBA Championship under his belt, with possibly more to come. Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh thinks those are already Hall of Fame credentials.

Bosh was asked about the Hall of Fame after the Heat’s 110-88 win over the Detroit Pistons Friday night.

Bosh has career averages of 19.7 points and 9.0 rebounds and this season is averaging 17.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest for the Heat, who are 28-12 and own the best record in the Eastern Conference.

“Hell, yeah, of course. I’ve been a Hall of Famer like four years ago,” Bosh told Fox Sports Florida. “And I say that very serious, though. I’ve talked about it before with my friends.”

The only eligible player in history with eight or more NBA All-Star selections who is not in the Hall is eight-time pick Larry Foust, a center who averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds from 1950-62.

“He’s on the right path,” said Heat guard Dwyane Wade. “To be in a position where he has a lot of years left, he has a championship under his belt. If we can continue to get more and he can continue to be productive, no question about it.”

The article refers to him as 'forward'. I always thought of him as a wimpy center, no muscle, just shoots fades and jumpers when LJ and Wade get double teamed. HOF? Never!

Yesh, sure, and I say I am a lock to be King of England...what a supreme moron, as if his endorsement of his Hall of Fame status means anything at all. Where do these modern day athletes get their humility?

This guy must be high.  Hey, with all the PED in South Florida at least now I know why LeBron and Bosh joined DWade in Miami.

Wil Perdue got 2 or 3 rings with Jordan and Pippen. If Bosh goes in then Perdue is very late. What a joke. I played with Lebron so I should go in. Please.

I think he is.  His numbers bear it out so far.  The Heat don't make it without hijm.  He scores and does the dirty work for them.  They were not beating Indiana last year in the playoffs without him.

BTW, I am glad he talked to his friends about it. I am sure they will use their vote on him.

Here is the problem with the Hall of Fame in all sports. People are thinking that if you are half good, you should be a Hall of Famer. I beg to differ. there are way too many conversations these days about who should be in the Hall of Fame. On Bosh. Please!!  When I think of basketball Hall of Fame here is who I think of: Magic Johnson, Kareem, Olajuwon, Bird, Erving, Jordan, Bryant, West, Russell, Chamberlain, Isiah, Cousy, Gervin, etc. Etc.. Sorry, but Chris Bosh does not come to mind in that group. Not only is he not in the same neighborhood, he is not even in the same Zip Code.  Enough Said..

Cocaine is a terrible drug.... If he even gets remotely mentioned for the HOF, they should immediately close it.

POis is right on. I better not see Stacey King in the HOF... or Aaron McKie.

James worthy is in, and he was the third best player on his team so maybe.

Bosh was Stacey King in the Heat's ONE title run.

I better not see Stacey King in the HOF

If Bosh get into the HOF based on his career so far then it would be an insult to everyone who truly earned the honor.  The guy is riding on the coat tails of Lebron James.

maybe people have forgotten that bosh plays with dwayne wade and lebron james so he cant score as much. also dont foget that miami does not win a championship without bosh. When bosh went down miami struggled against the pacers

Yeah I Said It So What?

Someone in Bosh's circle really needs to man-up and tell him to return to Planet Earth.  Taking the Allan Iverson School Of Morons route won't get it.  Get off that high horse before it's too late, Man!  Like topnoah787 said, you need to be humble...

Instead of being a pure 1st Class a-z-z.  And that you are.  Period.

Wake up, RuPaul! A geriatric Duncan is putting better numbers than you this season. Unlike you, Duncan neither makes fatous remarks nor tells the media moronic comments about being a Hall of Famer. At 36 Duncan can use you as a rag mop the harwood anytime. You ought to learn to be humble in the first place and play hard. The general consensus among the gurus of the NBA is that Duncan will be elegible to will enter the Hall of Fame when he calls it quit. Watch out! He might get another ring this year.. In Toronto you were an average player. In Miami you play third fiddle period. Lebron and D Wade will be Hall of Famers as well but you ... I quite really doubt it.
