Report: Brewers 1B Corey Hart has knee surgery
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Corey Hart has elected to have surgery on his injured right knee, according to a report from CBSSports.com’s Danny Knobler.
Hart had initially delayed getting the surgery to get a second opinion on the knee, which doctors said had a torn meniscus and would require surgery and three to four months recovery time. According to Knobler, the second diagnosis was similar to the first, and Hart underwent the procedure on his knee Friday morning.
Hart, 30, has played his entire career in Milwaukee and is a two-time All-Star. Hart batted .270 with 30 home runs and 83 RBIs last season.
