Corey Hart to miss 3-4 months after knee surgery, Brewers announce

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Corey Hart will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery, a procedure that will keep him out of action for 3-4 months, the team announced today through a tweet from its head of media relations.

This is the second surgical procedure Hart will need on his right knee in as many years. Last season Hart missed a month of action due to a meniscus tear in the knee – an injury that was revealed at a similar time, before the start of the season.

If its any solace to the Brewers, Hart went on to have a fine 2012 season, hitting 30 home runs with 83 RBIs and a .270 batting average. All three numbers are among the best he has put up in his nine-year career in the majors.
