In a statement tweeted by USA TODAY‘s Jeff Zillgitt, Smith said that, “Clearly I am competitive and was frustrated by our recent losses. I understand and respect the team’s actions and just want to get back on the court to do whatever is necessary to help my teammates. I apologize for letting them down and apologize to our fans.”
Between players like Smith and DeMarcus Cousins, NBA teams must have to hire apology ghost writers. It's obviously NOT sincere, since they keep exhibiting the same bad immature behavior in spite of previous suspensions and insincere apologies.
