ESPN shrugs off Brent Musburger’s ‘really smokin’ comment on Holly Rowe

Barely a week after ESPN commentator Brent Musburger, 74, came under fire for his comments on Katherine Webb, he finds himself in the spotlight for saying that sideline reporter Holly Rowe “was really smokin’ tonight” during the Baylor-Kansas game on Monday night. ESPN issued an apology after the Webb incident, saying,
We always try to capture interesting storylines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test. However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.
However, the network downplayed Musburger’s statement about Rowe:
Simply stated: "Brent said the word 'it.' We are moving on."—

I found it hilarious what he was doing was giving ESPN the finger, as our on-air personality put it on one of his rants, Musberger has covered games longer then these corprate media suits have been at ESPN

Like"Political Correctness = Social Terrorism" What better proof is there than this. They make more of this than Te'o LYING about a girlfriend to get the sympathy vote for the Heisman. He is 22 NOT 12. 20 years ago he might qualify for "victim" not any more.

LikeHe's like a lame version of Joe Biden. Biden is what Musburger (mmmm, burger) would be if he got high.

Likejoeshine730 Seeing your inane, nonsensical comments on different stories is like walking through a park with bird $hit all over the sidewalks. Everywhere I go, there's more of your $hit.

LikeShe is nice looking, wow did not know that you can't say someone is hot. She does not see any problems with his comments. The game was boring.

LikeHere's the irony , as a women I thought his comment about a model, Miss Alabama, was appropriate, that is her profession after all, but about a reporter was wrong. It demeans her as a reporter to be judged on her looks. Admire her if you like but be professional and keep such comments off the air waves. ESPN got it backwards. Jeez, it's not that difficult to figure out.

LikeWhy apologize Brent? Why apologize for admiring God's greatest gift to man/headache. You have no reason to apologize for being alive and a man!!!!!!!
