Report: Chargers likely to hire Mike McCoy as head coach

The Chargers are nearing a deal to bring on Mike McCoy as their head coach, reports CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora. The deal is expected to be completed on Tuesday.
McCoy, 40, is currently the offensive coordinator for the Broncos and has received praise for the team’s offensive success while having three very different quarterbacks — Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning. Prior to joining the Broncos in 2009, McCoy was an assistant with the Panthers.
