Brendon Ayanbadejo apologizes for his comments on Twitter about the Patriots

One day after tweeting some merciless critiques of the Patriots, Ayanbadejo has apologized on Twitter for his comments. On Sunday night, the Ravens linebacker ripped the Pats for Spygate and a “gimmick” offense.
Ayanbadejo’s tweets sparked some controversy, although the Patriots made it pretty clear they weren’t concerned with what Ayanbadejo had to say on Twitter. Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib said the linebacker’s tweets didn’t interest him.
“I can’t speak for everybody but me personally I’m not on the social network, Facebook, none of that,” Talib said, via USA Today. “So that’s in one ear and out the other.”
The Ravens and Patriots face off Sunday for the AFC Championship game. Ayanbadejo is largely considered levelheaded and intelligent, making his comments relatively surprising. It’s likely that Ayanbadejo’s overnight apology was the result of pressure from someone within the Ravens leadership.
I made selfish comments on twitter last night that reflected poorly upon myself, my teammates, and the organization. For that I apologize.

Too little, too late. You cannot "unring" that bell. When will defensive players learn that it is not smart to belittle Tom Brady. The guy makes it his personal mission to embarrass you, if you do so. History has proven this out. He will even find you on the field, after a touchdown and rub it in your face.

Likenightowl7395 Lol? The truth? You agree that a hurry up no huddle offense is a gimmick? Man your clearly not a football fan or for that matter had any involvement with sports at any level. The no huddle has been around since the late 1940's and just because the Patriots have perfected it and can run the table on any team with it suddenly it's a gimmick? Your either a complete dope or a Jets fan. Either way, open mouth and insert foot.

I agree with you that their offense is no gimmick. But I do take offense to your remark about Jets Fans. Do you really think we JETS fans like RR? And don't take it out on us, the fan because we don't own the team. I'm sure all Jets fans would of fired RR last year. Your remark on the Jets fan was very immature. Also, if the Pats were and are so smart, why didn't they incorporate this offense before the B&B era, won 10 SB's by now, I recall a time when they sucked for years before B&B right there with the Jets Even fans have to do their homework...

LikeStupid thing to say and the appology was not worth typing, they are deadmen walking come Sunday... Flacco better play the game of his life because the Pats will be putting at least 35 on the board, after that comment I would guess it might be closer to 45... Doesn't he know that comments will only make them more driven to ram it down your throat.....

LikeVolusiagirl Thats right. Good to see that someone outside of MA knows how the Patriots work. Let the Ravens run their mouths all week long and when Sunday night comes? Patriots will use that as motivation and BURY the Ravens 38-3.
