Tyreke Evans will not need surgery on knee

Tyreke Evans will be rejoining the Sacramento Kings earlier than anticipated. The team announced today that the knee injury that has kept Evans out will not require surgery, clearing the way for Evans to return next week.
Evans sought a second opinion from a doctor this week after missing 12 total games this season thanks to the injury. The Kings begin a five-game homestand next week, and Evans is averaging 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game this season.
