Although it is not a guarantee that he will be back with the team, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick said he will not restructure his current deal, reports the Philadelphia Inquirier.
Vick is scheduled to start the season finale against the New York Giants on Sunday and it is possible that Vick my play his final game with the team.
Vick is under contract until 2015 and is due $15.5 million in base salary for next season. The team must decide what to do with Vick by Feb. 6. If the Eagles release him before that date, they won’t have to pay a $3 million bonus. The team could also trade him or re-work his current deal.
“I have to just sit back and think about what has transpired and look at the situation as a whole,” Vick said when asked if he would like to return to the team. “Of course, you would like to come back and play. I love the organization and I love what they’ve done for me. … But if not, it’s been wonderful and I understand the nature of this business. At some point, we all got to move on.”
Vick, 32, has passed for 2,165 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season. Vick has not played since suffering a concussion on Nov. 12.

They were fools for signing Vick to begin with. Now they suffer the consequences.

LikeMan, there are a lot of scumbags on this thread. Also I wanted to take the opportunity as everyone else seems to be of using the word scumbag. Which, of course, makes me a bit of a scumbag. And one more for good measure: scumbag.

LikepopicurisHuman cage fighting is just like dog fighting. I don't see how people can actually watch those men literally beat each other to death.

No one has EVER been "literally" beaten to death in the cage (I assume youre referring to the UFC,) so I don't think you know what the word "literally" means. As such, I LITERALLY am not giving your argument any merit.

LikeTypical Jeff Lurie who could only make a profit in a protected Monopoly. It is almost impossible to root for an amoral sub-human scambag like Mike Vick so thank you Jeff Lurie!

Likechurchladypm Good to see that you self-righteous types are still hot on the trail of Mike Vick. Keep at it. You will get him yet. In the meantime I am going to continue to be amused as the guy makes millions and gets under your skin while doing so.

LikechurchladypmYou should get a job that offers bonuses and see how it feels when they don't pay you. It really sucks and a lot of jobs do it to a lot of people.
