The NFL has fined Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware for last week’s hit to Ben Roethlisberger’s head, according to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com.

Ware drew a roughing the passer penalty on the fourth-quarter play when his right arm struck the back of Roethlisberger’s helmet on a sack.

The Cowboys sacked Roethlisberger on the ensuing two plays to force a Pittsburgh punt. The Cowboys held off a late Steelers drive to send the game into overtime before winning, 27-24, on a Dan Bailey field goal following a Roethlisberger interception.

Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray was also fined $7,875 for a face mask on a first-quarter run that did not draw a penalty, according to a source.
