Sandy Rosario claimed by fourth MLB team in less than two months

MLB

Sandy Rosario is becoming somewhat of a Major League journeyman as of late. The pitcher was claimed by the Chicago Cubs today, making it the fourth MLB team in less than two months to give him a chance, according to CBSSports.com.

After finishing this season with the Miami Marlins, Rosario was picked off waivers by the Boston Red Sox on Oct. 17, but was traded Nov. 28 to the Oakland A’s. Less than two weeks later, after the A’s cut him, the Red Sox picked him up again, only to dump him two days later. Now, as of Dec. 12, Rosario is with the Cubs.

Rosario, who has an ERA of 15.26 over three major-league seasons, seems to be good enough to get looks from MLB teams but not enough to remain with any franchise for a significant amount of time. In the minors, he obviously fares much better, recording 17 saves with an ERA of 1.99 ERA in 31 appearances last season.
