Titans running back Chris Johnson is “very upset” he had just three carries in the second half of Tennessee’s 24-10 loss to the Texans last Sunday.

Johnson told The Tennessean‘s Jim Wyatt he was not happy spending most of the second half blocking in pass protection.

“When it is time for clutch plays in game-time situations, I don’t want to be on the sideline or just be in there blocking all the time,” said Johnson, who had a streak of six 80-plus yard games snapped. “Of course I want to be out there and make plays. I am a playmaker.”

Johnson started with 10 carries for 37 yards in the first half and finished with 13 carries for 51 yards.

Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said after the game he regretted not getting Johnson more carries in the second half. Loggains was calling his first game after replacing the fired Chris Palmer.

“I know that C.J. is probably frustrated with the way that it turned out,’’ offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said. “We left one of our best players on the sideline basically and didn’t use his playmaking ability probably the way we should have.”

Johnson said he expected to be used more as Loggains gained more play-calling experience.

“I don’t think it was a thing where he had to come to me and say anything. I was very upset, or whatever, not being able to be used as much as I wanted to be. But it’s a situation, he’s a new guy and he’d never called a game before in his career. Hopefully it will change.”

You got 13 carries because you are a flash in the pan.

@Bonkers Second most rushing yards since 08 behind only AP. I didn't know you could have a most likely 8+ year flash in the pan 10,000 yards rushing career..
