Report: Indians are ‘in best position’ to sign Nick Swisher

It looks like the Indians might be able to nab Nick Swisher. Buster Olney of ESPN reports that Indians have the upper hand in signing the right fielder.
Not sure what situation Nick Swisher will want, but it does appear as if Cleveland could be in best position to sign him.

Jim Bowden of ESPN reports that the Indians are looking to offer Swisher a four-year deal worth $48-50 million, but the market has him looking a little higher.

The Indians seem like the front runner for now, and have a good shot if the club ups the amount it plans to offer. The Mariners are the Indians’ biggest competition for Swisher right now.
