Anthony Davis “getting closer” to a return, still not cleared for contact

NBA number one overall draft pick Anthony Davis will miss his 10th consecutive game this season on Friday night. Davis’ ankle injury has kept him out of the game, although he is making progress and “getting closer” to a return, says head coach Monty Williams. He went through a walk-through with the team and did some practice drills with trainers recently, per Jen Hale.

Davis came out of the walking boot a few days ago, showing positive signs for recovery. Getting cleared for contact will be the last big hurdle for Davis before he can return to play.
