Zach Duke signs with Nationals

The Washington Nationals have inked LHP Zach Duke to a Major League deal, according to a tweet from Amanda Comack at The Washington Times.

Duke signed a minor league deal with the Nationals before the start of last season, and played much of the season with the club’s AAA affiliate in Syracuse. He was called up in September after re-discovering the form that led to his All-Star appearance in 2009. Duke appeared in eight games with Washington as a reliever, finishing 2012 with a 1.32 ERA in the majors.
