Kobe Bryant: ‘I’ll kick everybody’s ass in this locker room’ if Lakers don’t improve

The Los Angeles Lakers have been far from the dominant force many predicted going into the 2012-2013 NBA season. Yesterday, their franchise players made it clear that the up-and-down results aren’t being taken lightly.
In comments made to reporters after yesterday’s 113-103 loss to the Orlando Magic, Bryant fired a warning shot to his team that things must get better. Quotes via FOX Sports:
“I’ll kick everybody’s ass in this locker room if it doesn’t happen. It’s the attitude you have to have. Metta (World Peace) is the same way. Dwight (Howard) has it in him as well. Even though he smiles a lot, he cares a lot about this. Come hell or high water, this has to get done.”
Bryant also had some choice words for power forward Pau Gasol, who has struggled to adapt to life in new coach Mike D’Antoni’s high-energy offensive system. The message was basically the same: Adjust, or else.
“Put your big-boy pants on,” Kobe said with a trace of disgust in his voice. “C’mon … just adjust. You can’t whine about it or complain about it. Heck, I’m 34 years old, and I’m running screen-and-rolls out there because Steve is out, and my ass is running up and down the court more than I ever have in my entire career. But you have to adjust to it.”
The Lakers will have a chance to heed Bryant’s words tomorrow when they take on the Houston Rockets.
Yes the Lakers need to improve, but if I were in that locker room I would love to see him try to kick my arse. Threatening violence towards your teammates and making them the scapegoats instead of acknowledging your own play isn't exactly showing leadership.

LikeKobe is a crybaby who has always gotten his way with the Lakers. Doesn't he realize that he is part of the failure. Easy to point a finger at Gasol.

LikeThere was a period of like 3 years where Gasol started shopping at Big and Tall. Then sometime around the 2011 Dallas playoff sweep he got a gift certificate to Baby Gap. And he's been there since.
That being said, keep dirty laundry in the hamper, not aired through the media. And based on his past with women, pants are the last thing Kobe Bryant is familiar with...

LikeWow theres a suprise, kobe throwing somebody under the bus in stead of owning up to his short comings, its not like he does that everytime something goes wrong, like the last time things weren't going so great n he demanded a trade, what really gets me is the fact that he could not be more smug when he wins, sorry but I got no respect for a guy that lives in a fantasy world were nothing is ever his fault and all the success is because of him, sorry sell that crap to what ever feeble minded idiot will buy it.

LikeAnyone who watched that game can see that Kobe was deficient on defense.
He could not keep up with Reddick or who ever he was guarding and resulted mostly in someone getting open look at the basket. That is evident when Kobe has -17 when he is on the floor.

Even on the offense you could see kobe running in slow motion, perhaps it's time to cut his minutes
