Fujikawa, 32, is considered the best reliever in Japan with 202 saves, a 1.36 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 12.4 strikeouts per nine innings during his six seasons with the Hanshin Tigers.
He reportedly has received offers from at least 10 MLB teams, including the Angels, Cubs, Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Rangers and Red Sox.
Reports had Fujikawa narrowing his choices to the Angels, Cubs or Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Word out of Japan is the reliever Kyuji Fujikawa prefers to pitch for #Angels or #Cubs but hasn't ruled out #Diamondbacks.—
