Clay Matthews out for Packers, Greg Jennings likely to play
Clay Matthews will not be playing for the Packers against the Lions this weekend, but Greg Jennings is listed as probable.
Matthews has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. While making progress in rehab, the linebacker did not participate in practice all week. Coach McCarthy said he is making progress, but isn’t quite ready yet.
Jennings is finally looking healthy and ready, having participated in practice all week. He suffered a torn abdominal muscle that required surgery and missed a total of seven games.
Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com tweeted this in regards to Jennings’ playing time prospects:
McCarthy: Flow of the game will dictate how much @GregJennings will play.—
