Ben Roethlisberger out, Charlie Batch to start for Steelers Sunday vs Ravens
Ben Roethlisberger will play no part in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Sunday game against the Baltimore Ravens. The team officially ruled the quarterback out today due to his continuing recovery from injuries suffered in the team’s Monday night win over the Chiefs two weeks ago.
According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Charlie Batch will take over the starting job.
The Steelers have lost both games in Roesthlisberger’s absence, including one to the Ravens at Heinz field in Pittsburgh. The Ravens currently sit at 9-2 in first place in the AFC North and are riding a four-game winning streak. A loss would drop the 6-5 Steelers to a .500 record that could jeopardize the team’s place in the playoffs.
