Brook Lopez to miss two games with mild foot sprain
Nets center Brook Lopez will be out for the next two games with a mild foot sprain, the team’s PR department reported via Twitter on Thursday morning:

Although the x-rays were negative, several analysts were quick to remember last season’s injury to the same foot that took Lopez out for all but five games:
To make any Nets fans feel better: last year Lopez immediately was diagnosed with the stress fracture in that foot that needed surgery.—

I must also point out that last season Nets announced Lopez sprained his ankle, only to reveal two weeks later his foot was broken.—

Lopez, 24, has started in all 14 games for the Nets so far this season and leads the team with 18.5 points and 2.5 blocks per game. New Jersey is 10-4 and tied for first with the Knicks in the Atlantic Division.
