The Cincinnati Reds are close to signing free agent reliever Jonathn Broxton. According to tweets from FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, Broxton’s deal with the Reds will be three years.

Broxton was traded to the Reds from the Kansas City Royals midway through the 2012 season. He owned a 2.48 ERA across both teams, including a 2.82 mark with the Reds, for whom he also recorded four saves. Broxton started 2012 strongly for the Royals, gaining 20 saves on 23 save opportunities, to go with a 2.05 ERA.
