Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who is having an MVP-caliber season, now finds himself in coach Leslie Frazier’s doghouse after arriving late to Soldier Field on Sunday

Peterson left the Vikings hotel in a cab at 10 a.m., after missing the team bus. Players were supposed to be at the stadium by 10 a.m. He arrived at 10:23 a.m., just over an hour and a half before kickoff. Peterson’s reason for arriving late is unknown.

Coach Leslie Frazier said “there is something that Adrian and I need to talk about regarding getting to the stadium.”

Peterson made matters worse by fumbling away his third carry of the game and setting up the Bears’ first touchdown. The All-Pro continued to struggle early, rushing for just 32 yards in the first half. He eventually added to his league-leading rushing total with 108 yards on the day.

Well maybe he should make a habit out of it, if it helps him run for 212 yards again.

He over slept.  I agree with Doink.  If they aren't showing up shortly before they are to board the bus then someone should be pounding on his door.  Yeah, he is a big boy and should have set an extremely loud alarm but sometimes people need that "wake-up" call kick-in-the-butt.

When players dont show up early to get on the bus, you go up to their hotel room and wake them up.  Send the trainer or one of the equipment guys.   I guess the Vikings haven't figured that out yet.
