Danny Hope fired as Purdue head football coach
Purdue University has fired head football coach Danny Hope, according to an announcement from the university, as tweeted by the Big Ten Network’s Tom Dienart.
Hope has been in the job for four years, taking over the Boilermakers after Joe Tiller’s retirement in 2008. Hopes record was decidedly mixed during his time at Purdue – he amassed a 21-27 overall record in that time, including a 12-19 mark in the Big Ten conference. Hope did lead Purdue to a bowl victory last season, defeating Western Michigan in the Little Ceasar’s Pizza Bowl.
#Purdue has announced that Danny Hope will not return as head football coach. Purdue will hold a press conference today at 6:30 p.m. ET.—

Need a scorecard for the coaching changes? This was a no brainer, especially with the strong start, that turned into a nose dive. But then again Purdue may be Big 10, but overall they have never been a top tier school.
Hope was terrible as a coach and deserved to be fired last year. Purdue deserves better. Hope is more of a student manager type.
