Michigan guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is expected to follow Friday’s NIT Season Tipoff Most Outstanding Player performance by starting against No. 16 N.C. State on Tuesday despite suffering a reported head injury.

Hardaway left Michigan’s 71-57 win over Kansas State in the tournament final at Madison Square Garden late, reportedly passed concussion tests and returned to the bench before the game ended.

Hardaway finished with a game-high 23 points — shooting 10-of-15 from the field — and seven rebounds. The junior opened the tournament by scoring 11 of his 16 points in the second half of the Wolverines’ 67-62 win over Pittsburgh in a semifinal Wednesday night.
