Rob Gronkowski will miss 4-6 weeks thanks to a broken arm, according to a report on Comcast Sportsnet New England.

Gonrkowski suffered the injury in the closing stages of the New England Patriots’ 59-24 rout of the Indianapolis Colts Sunday night. The Patriots were initially mum on a timetable for his return, but it has been confirmed that the tight end has undergone surgery and could be absent through the end of the Patriots’ regular season.

The Patriots will miss Gronkowski’s effectiveness as a receiver, but the team currently sits in a good position in the AFC East – the Patriots are 7-3, and their next two games are against divisional opponents (Jets and Dolphins) that share 4-6 records.
