Chad Henne to start for Jaguars on Sunday

Chad Henne will start as second consecutive game under center for the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters today.

Henne is coming off the finest performance of his NFL career, throwing for four touchdowns and 354 yards in Sunday’s 43-47 overtime loss to the Houston Texans. While Henne may not have gotten the win, his performance against the heavily-favored Texans appears to have won him a supporter in Mularkey.
Henne did not start the Texans game, but came on early after incumbent starter Blaine Gabbert bruised his right elbow. A start on Sunday would be Henne’s first for over a year, with the last one coming as a member of his former team the Miami Dolphins.
