The Bears announced that quarterback Jay Cutler will not play Monday night against the 49ers. Jason Campbell will start at quarterback for the Bears.

Cutler suffered a concussion Sunday night against the Texans, and has not practiced this week. The Bears believe Cutler incurred the concussion on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Tim Dobbins late in the second quarter.

Cutler remained on the field and finished the half, but was sidelined the final two quarters after displaying concussion-like symptoms in the locker room at halftime.

Cutler must be cleared by Bears team physicians and independent neurological consultants before he can return to practice or a game.

Here we go again. A good Bears season in jeapardy due to injuries and the lack of depth at key positions.
