The Timberwolves have been hampered by injuries this season: forward Kevin Love and point guard Ricky Rubio are both out with major injuries as well–Love with a broken hand and Rubio with a torn ACL.
Budinger, 24, injured the knee on Saturday night against the Bulls. He was averaging 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game prior to the injury. Budinger was traded from the Rockets to the Timberwolves in June.
