Nash has a small non-displaced fracture in the head of his left fibula, the team announced Saturday. He has averaged 4.5 points and four assists during the Lakers’ slow 0-3 start. The injury is expected to slow his transition into the Lakers’ Princeton offense, a shift that has drawn some criticism around the league.
Backup Steve Blake is expected to take Nash’s place in the starting lineup.
