Pitcher Javier Vazquez is contemplating a return to the MLB after stepping away from the game after the 2011 season. Peter Gammons first broke the news on Twitter:

Vazquez last played for the Marlins and finished the season with a 13-11 record, 3.69 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. He started his career with the Expos in 1998 and also played for the Yankees, Diamondbacks, White Sox and Braves.
Vazquez, a native of Puerto Rico, plans to pitch in the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League after Thanksgiving and represent the country in the World Baseball Classic in March. He will then decide about making a comeback to the MLB.
