Peralta has played the last two season in Tampa Bay, amassing a .333 ERA in 67 innings pitched with the team. However, Peralta’s performance dropped considerably in 2012, as his ERA jumped from 2.93 in 2011 to 3.63 in 2012, even while the number of innings he pitched stayed the same. No details on the duration or value of Peralta’s new contract are available yet.
