The Orlando Magic will be without forward Hedo Turkoglu for a minimum of four weeks after he underwent surgery on Saturday to repair a broken left hand, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
Turkoglu now has undergone surgery twice in the last seven months. In April, he suffered a broken left cheekbone when he was elbowed accidently in a game. Turkoglu said that injury was the worst of his career, but he secured teammates’ respect when he returned to the court three weeks after the procedure.
Turkoglu fractured the fifth metacarpal during the third quarter of Orlando’s season-opening 102-89 victory over the Denver Nuggets Friday night.
